National Institute on Drug Abuse, Director, Nora Volkow, offers healthy suggestions to up our levels of the feel-good neurochemical, dopamine. “In animal studies conducted elsewhere, exercise has been found to increase dopamine release and to raise the number of dopamine receptors.”

Along with exercise, certain foods and supplements also raise the level of dopamine in the brain.
